About this Event
Imagine sitting with fellow teachers at your school watching a video clip of your children with a shared intention of discovering what the children are thinking while encountering and being changed by each other’s perspective. We can discover new insights about the children and about ourselves.
George E. Forman is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and President of Videatives, Inc. George has written The Child’s Construction of Knowledge and Constructive Play. Since 1986 George has worked with the city of Reggio Emilia, Italy, to bring their educational philosophy to prominence in the United States by producing three documentary videos and co-editing The Hundred Languages of Children. Upon retirement in 2003, he cofounded Videatives, Inc. to distribute new digital formats to early childhood professionals to help them see what children know, so they can better support their learning. www.videatives.com
